Ca'Mya Davis was unattended July 6 when she fell through the hole in a bedroom floor. The medical examiner ruled her death an accidental drowning. Prosecutors say Jordan allegedly left her daughter with Peterson while she visited friends. The prosecutor's office also says Jordan and Peterson were aware of "the hazardous and unsafe condition in the bedroom. Ca'Mya Davis was just a couple of weeks shy of her first birthday when she drowned on Friday.
Her mother, Dasiah Jordan left and right , was at a hair appointment at the time. Jordan's daughter fell through this gaping hole in the floor of her friend's Detroit home, where she has been living with her three children since April.

Just a thought, but have you had a radon test done on your basement or do you have a radon mitigation system? It might be a good idea to have one done if that becomes baby's permanent bedroom. We did when we bought our home 4 years ago and it was clear. Just temporary until she learns to sleep a bit better and can go in with her older sister.

When we were house hunting we looked at a home with the 3rd bedroom in the basement and it was the best house we had seen but I ruled it out immediately because I saw it as virtually unusable as far as children went. I still attribute my bad allergies to the air quality in the basement.
